How Shopee fees work
Shopee takes several fees from each completed order. They are calculated on the item price after any seller voucher:
- Commission (called admin fee or fixed fee in some countries): a percentage that depends on product category and whether you are a regular, Preferred/Star or Mall seller.
- Transaction fee: a payment processing percentage, sometimes including local tax. Indonesia uses a small fixed order-processing fee instead.
- Programme fees: optional service fees for Free Shipping and Coins Cashback / voucher programmes. Some are capped per item.
Your profit is what is left after fees, product cost and any shipping you subsidise. Margin here is profit divided by revenue after voucher.
FAQ
What fees does Shopee charge sellers?
Most sellers pay a commission (percentage of the item price, depending on category and seller type), a transaction or payment processing fee, and extra service fees if they join programmes such as Free Shipping or Coins Cashback. Some countries also charge a small fixed fee per order.
How is the break-even price calculated?
It is the lowest selling price at which net profit is zero after your voucher, product cost, the shipping you pay and every fee. Because most fees are a percentage of price, the calculator solves for it rather than just adding costs together.
Are the fee rates in this calculator official?
No. They are defaults based on public Shopee seller information and may be out of date or differ for your category. Every rate is editable; always confirm the current rates in your Shopee Seller Centre.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. All calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server.
